Kinlochhourn Farm is an ideal base for walkers, with paths leading to Barisdale, (where you will find a bothy, campsite and self catering accommodation) Inverie, Arnisdale and Shiel Bridge. Leave your car at the car park (for which there is a small fee payable at the farm), before exploring this beautiful area of Scotland.

Take a stroll on the path leading to Loch Hourn, or hike up one of the many mountains around Kinlochhourn, you will find some of Scotland's most stunning scenery. Perhaps on the trail to Cape Wrath, many hikers find Kinlochhourn Farm a convenient stopover, feeling refreshed the next morning ready to take up the trail once more.

Although walking in this beautiful part of Scotland can capture the heart and soul, there are easier ways to get around, such as the Arnisdale Ferry (pictured left) operated by Billy Mackenzie, the ferry boat can be hired for day trips, fishing trips and bird watching, or just to see the sights of lochhourn towards Barisdale and Arnisdale, booking by telephone is advisable to avoid disappointment. If you wish to visit Knoydart from the south, catch the ferry (pictured right) at Mallaig over to Inverie, please follow the link opposite for a timetable

Whatever the reason for a visit to Kinlochhourn, you will find friendly faces and peaceful surroundings.
